Having fun with Bach inventions :An individual’s understanding and experiential voyage

This won’t be an academic tome, nor do I intend it to be. Typically, most books and interpretations are penned by experts, who, in my view, lack the firsthand experiences of an average learner and the struggles involved in comprehending and internalizing music, rather than just receiving an expert’s perspective. That’s why I aim to document my own journey of exploring Bach’s music.

I believe that the process of learning and understanding music has been needlessly complicated. Ultimately, it boils down to empathy with the composer, and as long as human consciousness exists, music should be accessible. The rest is simply a matter of putting in the physical work and time, which will come with patience.

I’ll begin with the Two-Part Inventions and then progress to the Three-Voice Sinfonias. Since this is a work in progress, reflecting my personal development, the content here may change and be edited.

I hope this endeavor proves beneficial, both for others and for my own self-understanding as I embark on this journey.
